Kiwitech High Pressure Release Sleeve

For use with the Kiwitech Drag Trough and Micro Trough.

The sleeve allows the pressure to be released from the water system so the trough lead can be easily disconnected from a Kiwitech Hydrant. This is great if your using long trough leads as means you do not have to drive to the trough to empty it before returning to the hydrant to disconnect. Also useful for Micro Troughs to avoid need to press on the float whilst disconnecting.

Finally, they are also good in systems with high pressure (>4BAR) where disconnection might be a challenge. The sleeve goes over the trough lead, it has 2x O-rings which are located 100mm apart inside the sleeve. You drill a series of 8mm holes in your trough lead approximately 150mm from the end of the lead pipe. The sleeve covers these holes and water flows to the trough. To disconnect you pull back the sleeve, this exposes the holes which release the water, lowering the pressure, this allows the trough lead to be disconnected from the Hydrant.
