Job Description
We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on person to join us on a fixed-term contract during a period of maternity leave for 9 months, with the possibility to extend up to 12 months depending on business needs.
In this role, you’ll ensure the precise and efficient shipment of orders to our expanding customer network, carrying out a range of warehouse tasks. You’ll also manage stock transactions through our IT system, process orders, pick, pack, dispatch, and support regular stock takes to maintain accurate records.
This role would suit someone looking for part-time work with a regular weekly schedule.
Job Details
Part time: 8 - 10 hours a week split across 2 or 3 days.
Wages from £13.00 per hour (depending on experience).
Extra hours available during busy periods.
Flexible hours, ideally between 9am-1pm, no weekends.
Employed or Self Employed considered.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders.
Process sales orders, print shipping labels and book courier collections using our IT system and courier portals.
Ensure stock accuracy in the warehouse and assist with inventory management and stock takes.
Receive goods ins and restock the warehouse.
The ideal candidate:
Previous experience working in a warehouse or customer service role.
Able to safely lift and wrap heavy, awkward objects.
Self-motivated, able to work alone and in a team.
Strong computer skills, confident using Microsoft packages and order processing systems.
Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail.
Confident with counting for order picking and stock control
Good written and verbal communication skills and confident in speaking to customers and suppliers over the phone.
An understanding of livestock farming and use of electric fencing is a plus but not essential as relevant product training will be provided.
Additional Opportunities
There may be scope for additional regular hours for candidates with:
A strong background and interest in livestock and
Proven customer service or sales experience and/or digital marketing.
This would involve helping the wider team with product enquiries and customer communication. If you have these skills, please highlight this in your application.
