  • The RPA has calculated an expected average cost for each item, based on costs from a cross-section of suppliers.

The RPA will pay you a grant amount of 50% towards either:

    1. the average cost of the item – if an item costs you the same or more than the expected average cost in the item lists

    2. the actual cost you pay for the item – if an item costs you less than the expected average cost in the item lists

You can check an item’s expected average cost and grant amount in the item and specification lists.

The grant contribution does not cover the total cost of each item. It’s your responsibility to fund the remaining cost.

  • Follow these steps to submit your claim for payment. The RPA will confirm how long you have to buy your items and submit your claim in your GFA.

    1. Pay for the items in full.

    2. Keep all invoices and bank statements for the items you buy.

    3. When you receive the items, complete the claim form in your GFA and email it to FETFClaims@rpa.gov.uk with supporting evidence (you must submit a separate claim and evidence for each grant you’re applying for).

All the details on how to claim and the evidence you need to submit are here. We recommend familiarising yourself with them.

  • The gov.uk website does not specify any limits to number of packages you can apply for.

  • You can order the items you applied for as soon as you have accepted your Grant Funding Agreement (this is emailed to all successful applicants). Please note you will be asked to submit your invoices and proof of payment (bank/credit card statement) when claiming the grant and T&Cs at gov.uk strictly state that purchases must not be made before GFA is accepted.
